The film has been chosen by Bangladesh as its Academy Awards entry under the foreign-language category.An India-Bangladesh co-production, the film premiered at the 2017 Shanghai film festival, Moscow film festival, Vancouver film festival, and Busan film festival confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.
In the film, Khan essays the role of a successful film-maker, Javed Hasan, who faces a midlife crisis when he has a tryst with his daughter’s childhood friend, Parno Mittra, causing a national scandal.
Bangladeshi actor Rokeya Prachi plays the role of his wife while Nusrat Imrose Tisha plays the role of his daughter. The 91st Academy Awards will be held on February 24, 2019.
Deepika Padukone last featured on screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, which released in January this year. Ever since then, her fans are eagerly awaiting for her next appearance on celluloid. However, it looks like the wait is finally over as DP is already in talks for her next Bollywood project.
As per a report in a leading daily, the actress will team up with none other than Raazi director Meghna Gulzar. Meanwhile, Deepika was cast opposite Irrfan Khan in Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming project but due to the actor’s ill-health, the film was postponed. Apparently, Deepika has also returned the signing amount of the film in question to Bhardwaj. So, it looks like that it will be perhaps Meghna who will pull the actress out of her hiatus.
In the meantime, the Deepika has been in the news for her impending wedding with beau Ranveer Singh in November.
The trailer of Irrfan Khan’s upcoming movie Puzzle is released today. This is Irrfan’s Hollywood project with director Marc Turtletaub and it also has Scottish actress Kelly Macdonald in lead. The film is a beautiful relationship between two people who are connected by one important piece that sets in motion a true change.
Talking more about the trailer, it shows the struggle of a woman who wants to discover something in life, so she finds her unique talent of solving puzzles where her life unfolds in ways she could never have imagined.But her life takes a turn when she meets champion puzzler, Robert (Irrfan), who is looking for a partner for a jigsaw puzzle competition.
The movie is slated to release on July 13. However, Irrfan Khan is suffering from rare disease and for the treatment, he is in London.Earlier Irrfan wrote a post on Facebook about his struggle and pain he got from the disease.
The wait is now over, the much awaited trailer of Karwaan is out now. The movie is special because of its cast and interesting story. Acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan , Mollywood actor Dulquer Salmaan and Web series actor Mithila Palkar are playing the lead role in this film. Irrfan, who is currently in London getting his treatment for neuroendocrine cancer, had tweeted a while ago about the film welcoming the newbies to the Hindi film industry.
Karwaan marks the Bollywood debut of Dulquer salmaan and Mithila Palkar. The 02:38 minute trailer is giving the thread about it’s a road movie where the three of them in a Bizzare journey. The movie has been shot in the beautiful locales of Kerala. Dulquer is looking very promising in this trailer along with Irrfan Khan.
‘Karwaan’ is directed by Akarsh Khurana and it is produced by Ronnie Screwvala , Priti Rathi Gupta under the banner of RSVP Films. ‘Karwaan’ is scheduled to hit the screens on 3rd August 2018.
